Here she is!
Here she finally is! Meet Dryad, my latest fairy sculpture. A couple of weeks ago I sent you the work in progress pictures. And here she’s finished. Let me know what you think about her in the comment box at the bottom of this page. Thanks and enjoy!
Here’s the rest of the work in progress pictures:
Painting the eyes with the genesis paints.
Genesis paint stays fluid untill I set the paint with a heat gun. Then I bake her one last time in the oven, so the paint is set well. The temperature that sets this paint is the same as the temperature you can bake the clay. So it’s a perfect match!
Her painted face:
The making of the branches on her head:
Trying the branches on her head:
Drilling holes in her head for the branches… Not for sensitive people… 😉
Putting the glass micro beads and the silk ribbons on the branches. Here wings are finished and have been put on her back.
My signature in the back of her neck. The hair has been added on her head.
I put on her silk skirt and her corset. The top of her corset is silk, I made it look like moss… 😀 And added micro glass beads on it.
This was the last one. I hope you enjoyed the pictures of the whole process… Now you can see how much work it is and that it’s all handmade. No moulds or anything has been used! 😀
See you next time!
